From not but humble beginnings. Two barrels and two crates were all poor Hector Vane started with. Now though, his hold be near bursting with swag and booty! He be bristling with pride and swagger. And the tavern wenches be offering up a bit of booty as well.

Pirate’s Paradise or How to Multiply Booty

A pirate needs booty. Lots and lots of booty. Here’s a quick peek at pirate mathematics.
Start with some homemade models. I made these from wood. I scored the grain and added trim pieces to form a couple crates and a couple barrels.

I sealed these with a couple light coats of gloss sealant to prevent the mold silicon from flowing into the pores of the wood. I poured a mold using the Smooth-On Pourable Kit. 24 hours later I removed the originals and started to pour. Continue reading
