Jungle Crawl Tiles

Okay. So I didn’t go with the preprinted Fat Dragon tiles. Who has time for shipping? I did pick up this though…

Landshark Tunnels.

My plan is to create random tiles and cards to simulate exploring/searching the jungles of the Caribbean. Perhaps in hopes of rescuing missing crew members from the Caribs?

Well, that is my next objective. My pirates have stopped at an unknown island to resupply. Part of crew has gone ashore to find fresh water but do not return. Now, our heroes must go rescue them.
But, before they can do that, they must find out what happened and then find the village. Hence the random jungle…

Taking my Landshark Tunnels PDF, I photoshopped jungle foliage around the tiles and printed them on sticker sheets. Next I applied a laminating sheet on top of the sticker to hopefully protect the printing and then cut them out. This was the hardest part for me. Trying to stick down the laminate sheet without any bubbles or creases. Time consuming, but most came out okay.

Next, peeling off the sticker sheet backing, I stuck them to foam board and cut out with a hobby knife. The thickness of the sticker and laminate made this a breeze.

I made some cards by shrinking the tile images and importing them into Deckromancy. And…

Instant random jungle. Well, okay. Definitely not instant. They should work like Warhammer Quest cards and tiles. At least, that is my hope…

I am pretty happy with the look them and will be giving them a try hopefully tomorrow as my pirates go in search of that Carib village. I will definitely need to read over SGD as I am going to treat this like a dungeon crawl. Until next time…

Back to building a Carib village…
